CARINGHouse Projects provides community-based residences for adults who have developmental disabilities. The goal of the CARINGHouse Projects is to provide each individual with “a day-worth-living.” Established with one residence in 1980, the CARINGHouses have grown to include sixteen residences in current operation throughout six counties. Each CARINGHouse facility has been developed to provide a family-like environment that enables residents to transition into community life while becoming more independent in areas where training in daily living skills was needed. Through our dedicated staff, residents are provided with the opportunity for many more experiences and personal growth than would otherwise be possible in an institution.
CARINGHouses are located throughout Atlantic County, as well as in Cumberland, Monmouth, Ocean, Union and Middlesex Counties.
